Jerald Esikuri Chibayi

FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr. Chibayi, lovingly known in the community as “Uncle Jerald”, has been a strong advocate for children in Kenya. Having served in various roles within child welfare, Jerald has vast experience and proven success in connecting with children.

Much of Jerald’s passion to help at risk children comes from his experiences in childhood. Having grown up in a dysfunctional family, he experienced firsthand the effects of a father with addictions that lead to a very unpleasant life. Eventually life on the streets showed him physical abuse, the sting of hunger, and substance abuse.

In addition to his personal experiences, Jerald’s professional career as a Child Welfare Officer, and later Child Welfare Manager has allowed him to develop a keen sense for a structured approach to child empowerment. He has performed hundreds of home and school visits and ultimately has been responsible for reintegrating 350+ children around Kenya.
